Another Victory: After 2013 Antitrust Division Report, VCB Now Begins All Meetings With Warnings on Antitrust Violations and Conflict of Interest

In May 2013, Dr. Peter Yesawich, Ph.D. of MMGY, world's largest travel consultancy, spoke to the St. Johns County Visitor and Convention Bureau, Inc. at World Golf Village, urging price increases. The Antitrust Division of the Justice Department conducted a preliminary inquiry. At that time, VCB had no antitrust compliance policy, and resisted producing documents despite the Florida statute covering government contractors. VCB now begins each meeting with an antitrust and conflict of interest statement, standard throughout the Florida tourism business, but never provided by controversial VCB Chair RICHARD GOLDMAN before I blew the whistle to DOJ.
