My father survived malaria, bitten by a mosquito in Sicily in 1943. My dad volunteered for Army service the day after Pearl Harbor was bombed. My dad was old for a paratrooper, but beloved for his courage and tenacity. My dad helped liberate the very first French town from Hitler on D-Day, June 6, 1944, before the sun rose that day. I have lived in St. Johns County for 25 years. I go to meetings, ask questions, and demand answers. It's our time, our town and our government.
