City, County Need to Weight Costs and Benefits of All Electric Power Options

A pitiful FPL lobbyist had has ass handed to him last Monday night. Watch the replay tonight.
Every single citizen who spoke at the public hearing spoke against signing FPL's 30-year franchise deal, which would give up for 30 years our right for our city to sell electric power.
Future meetings will present all options, including the possibliity of joining with St. Johns County, Clay Electric, Jacksonville Electrict Authority.
Public power agencies supply power to 25 percent of Florida residents, without nuclear power, Cost of Work in Progress (CWIP), phantom taxes and routinized harassment of whistleblowers, brought to you by Florida's under-regulated Investor-Owned Electric Companies like FPL and the inept Florida Public Service Commission (PSC).
The vote to obtain more information was 5-0.
Thank you, Commissioners. The energy future deserves public scrutiny, not another coverup.
