WASHINGTON TIMES: U.S. REP. JOHN MICA REFUSED TO RETURN $5000 CONTRIBUTION FROM INDICTED TOM DELAY, ALSO RECEIVED $2000 FROM CONVICT ABRAMOFF, CLIENTS

Mica in 2005 refused to return $5,000 that his re-election campaign had received from former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's political action committee. DeLay was indicted in Texas on conspiracy and money laundering charges stemming from the financing of state Republican legislative races in 2002.

DeLay also has links to disgraced Washington lobbyist Jack Abramoff. Mica also received $2,000 in campaign contributions from Abramoff or his clients.
