In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!

DID YOU KNOW? CITY COMMISSIONER ERROL JONES MADE THE MOTION NOVEMBER 13th to SEND SOLID WASTE BACK TO LINCOLNVILLE
Yet he claims he "got the word" from the public meeting at St. Paul's A.M.E. Church on January 10, 2008.
JONES "got the word" from the "Stop the Dump" meeting organized by Judith and Anthony Seraphin and the Lincolnville Neighborhood Association.
JONES only "got the word" when 300 people attended. No one stood up when Judith Seraphin asked anyone supporting repatriating 40,000 cubic yards of solid waste to Lincolnville.
JONES hasn't got a clue.
At the November 13, 2007 meeting, COmmissioners arrogantly refused to let the public speak, even though the St. Augustine Record editorial two days before said the public would be heard.
JONES did not speak up for the public's right to speak then.
JONES repeatedly insulted citizens who spoke out about the illegal dumping in the Old CIty Reservoir. JONES was rude and crude in his insults.
JONES chills free speech by citizens raising concerns about illegal dumping, sewage pollution of our rivers and other environmental issues.
