Letter Rip: AFGE President Doesn't Like Mica

A political fund-raising letter by one of the largest federal unions denounces House civil service subcommittee Chairman John L. Mica (R-Fla.) as "a mean-spirited, anti-government, anti-government worker and anti-union fanatic."
American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) president John N. Sturdivant calls Mica "the most dangerous man in history to ever chair a civil service committee or subcommittee in Congress" in the letter, which was released by the union yesterday.
Mica said the letter "sounds like inflammatory campaign rhetoric trying to demonize me." He predicted he would win reelection and return next year to continue as the House chairman handling federal employees ...
