In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!

Illegal Free Tickets to the Masked Ball for City Attorney, Free Water/Sewer/Trash Collection for City Employees
St. Augustine CITY ATTORNEY RONALD W. BROWN in 2006, Serving as Hastings Town Attorney, Presiding Over Annexation of Lands on Which ROBERT MICHAEL GRAUBARD Held "Options" (BROWN said he did not know what an option was and showed ignorance on 15th Amendment violations)
The City Attorney's budget has long provided for two free tickets to the masked ball, Noche de Gala, which honors City of St. Augustine founder Pedro Menendez de Aviles, author of the first anti-Gay hate crime in North American (1566).
Other city officials also get free tix to the fancy masqued ball.
Some 40 city employees receive free water, sewer and trash collection services.
These freebies are indefensible in this economy.
These freebies violate Section 2.04 of the City's Charter laws.
These freebies are but a trivial example of the corruption in our Nation's Oldest City.
