Editor: Yes, Amphitheater director Ryan Dettra probably used poor judgment in airing "laundry" in the way he did. I have known Ryan for a few years, and while he may not have the best "people" skills, there is no question that under his guidance, and with his knowledge of the music business, he has been pivotal in making the St. Augustine Ampitheater into one of the top venues of its size in America.
If the good old boy network wants to make him an example, they will surely lose a driving force in making St. Augustine a national entertainment force.
In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!
