Flight of the Evader
When Maj. Gen. Douglas Burnett retired from the
Florida National Guard on June 26, the guard
planned to pull out all the stops to honor him.
The highlight of the ceremony in St. Augustine
was to be a flyover by two F-15 Eagle tactical
fighter jets and two F-22 Raptors. Folio Weekly
asked National Guard public information officer
Crystal McNairy the cost of the fighter jet
production. She suggested e-mailing a formal
Freedom of Information Request. Hours later, the
flyover was cancelled.
