IN HAEC VERBA: City of Jacksonville General Counsel on delegation of government functions to private groups

Private Boards and Commissions Performing Public Functions. Various private boards and non-profits are delegated functions by the City of Jacksonville, whether related to the funding of the arts, public service grants, or other functions which the City specifically asks the private organizations to perform. Under these circumstances, the boards of directors of these organizations are subject to the Sunshine Law when performing these delegated functions.
