St. Johns County Sheriff DAVID SHOAR, f/k/a "DAVID HOAR," has just posted another column on the website of hate website proprietor MICHAEL GOLD f/k/a "MICHAEL TOBIN," who publishes racist, homophobic, sexist lies about anyone who tries to improve our community. GOLD publishes Historic City News, shamefulpeople.com and plazabum.com, which subtract from the sum total of human knowledge and advance the agenda of the "developers" and arachnids who long ran St. Augustine and St. Johns County. Shame on us if we confuse GOLD with a journalist. He's an apparatchik whose family received some $700,000 in no bid-contracts from SAPD and SJCSO and who raised more than $250,000 for SHERIFF DAVID SHOAR's 2004 election. GOLD is the Media and Communications Chair for the St. Augustine Republic Club and has spewed Lashon hora and invective at people for supporting environmental cleanups and opposing City Manager WILLIAM B. HARRISS. GOLD wrote on Christmas Eve 2007 about how a local woman suffering from cancer should die a powerfully horrible painful death. GOLD and his NICs have endorsed violence, kidnapping and libel against persons he perceives as his political enemy. SHOAR won't denounce GOLD publicly. SHOAR now refuses to ask GOLD to "knock it off," even concerning a person who was not a public figure and merely spoke at one (1) public meeting in favor of a park -- despite five times in writing do so so.
