In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!

TIME FOR A NO-BRIBERY CAMPAIGN IN FLORIDA
TIME FOR A NO-BRIBERY CAMPAIGN IN FLORIDA
We need an anti-bribery campaign in the State of Florida.
People who are offered bribes should turn in the bribepayer.
People who are asked to give bribes should turn in the public official.
A culture of corruption can be changed one day at a time, just as courageous citizens have done in Sicily.
Stand up to bribepayers and bribetakers, who destroy our democracy.
Interesting that there's never been one editorial in local newspapers against bribery, even though our former Republican County Commission Chair THOMAS MANUEL is under indictment for bribery, for accepting $60,000.
Is the culture of corruption in the State of Florida that pervasive that the WRecKord can't write an editorial calling for whistleblowing?
What do you reckon?
The FBI is starting a ‘war on bribery’ only because ‘illegal’ outside the system bribery threatens the systemic and institutionalized corporate system of ‘legal’ bribery; pac money, lobbying, superpac money (recently sanctioned by the supreme court), fees, licenses, etc., are all euphemistic forms of bribery. Off the books bribery threatens ‘legal’ bribery and is cutting into the take.
ReplyDeleteThis bogus effort by the FBI has many an analogue; consider the corporate government’s ‘war on drugs’ going after and imprisoning purveyors of competitive drug products that compete with the systemic and institutionalized state alcohol and tobacco cartel. A cartel which owes its existence and continuance to institutionalized bribery and ongoing system corruption in the form of fees and licenses which fund the protectionist ATF muscle that puts users of competitive products in jail. The FBI (Friendly to Business Interests), like your local sell out cops, work first and foremost for their corporate masters.
The corporate institutionalized bribery is so out of control in America that they have destroyed trust in the ‘legal’ system which now stands as a scam and drives people outside the system.
An anti bribery campaign won’t work. We need election boycotts and a Constitutional jubilee.
