FOLIO WEEKLY: "Doing What Jacksonville Couldn't"

"The St. Augustine City Commission has voted unanimously to pass an ordinance protecting against discrimination based on sexual orientation when it comes to renting or buying a home, according to the St. Augustine Record.  In August, Jacksonville attempted to pass a similar ordinance, but it failed 10-9.  St. Augustine already has an ordinance protecting against discrimination based on age, gender, race and national origin.  The new change adds sexual orientation to the protected classes."
