Stop the Unsolved Killings of Local Bicyclists and Pedestrians

Florida drivers, both residents and visitors, are among the nation's worst when it comes to killing bicyclists and pedestrians.

Inconsiderate and intoxicated drivers kill and then leave their victims behind.

Even here in St. Augustine and St. Johns County.

Are some of these hit-and-run vehicular homicides intentional?   Are some of them civil rights violations?

The guilty parties -- vehicular murderers -- too often go "unwhipped of justice," in Shakespeare's words.

Instead of serving time in prison for vehicular homicide, they still drive among us, a clear and present danger.

Enough.   Read Felicia Regan's column (below) and share what you know with law enforcement.

Work tirelessly to adopt the St. Augustine National Historical Park and National Seashore, which will help solve our transportation and related environmental problems with bicycle paths and carbon-friendly electric trolley transit in our community.  www.staugustgreen.com
