Spoliation of Evidence 101

The University of Florida Levin College of Law refuses to tell us how old its applicants, admittees and graduates in its Environmental and Land Use Planning Law (ELUPL) program are. It is a very small program, with four graduates a semester.

Age and other demographic data is gathered and posted on J.D. candidates, as required by ABA.  

UF reports that its oldest J.D. student is 45.  (I am 57 and applying for a graduate program).

UF posts short biographies on LL.M. graduates, with their photos.  Every single one of them looks much younger than me, by several decades. 

It sure would be easy to give me the ELUPL LLM data.

Just spoke to a PR Assistant VP with UF in Gainesville, who twice snorted a laugh at me.  UF is a state school, and a federal land grant institution founded and funded under the Morrill Act. I am mystified as to why a state school should act so haughtily and discriminatorily, while refusing to provide evidence of the age of its ELUPL LLM participants.  It is tantamount to an admission of guilt.

The United States Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights will now investigate UF for age and disability discrimination and retaliation against protected activity.  I've applied to this program five times since 2010 and never granted so much as an interview.   Let justice be done at last.
