Wonder why?
We are hiding our light under a bushel basket.
We waste millions of dollars a year on our City Public Affairs Department, St. Johns County Tourist Development Council (TDC) and St. Johns County Visitor and Convention Bureau, Inc. They have delusions of adequacy -- they are under-managed.
We need them to support the St. Augustine National Historical Park and National Seashore. www.staugustgreen.com
They need to stop wasting money on advertising and payola.
We are not doing enough to recruit diverse young, hip visitors who appreciate nature and history. We can do better, we must do better and we will do better. We shall overcome!
