Employee Number 1034
Congratulations to City of St. Augustine Employee Number 1034, Her Honor, Nancy Shaver.
Mayor-elect Shaver got her badge, ID card and other accoutrements today and will take the oath of office at 7:30 on December 1.

Nancy should make that her theme song — she sure kindled the magic in a lot of folks minds. As for the context; given how screwed up this city is it will also take a lot of magic to deliver to those conjured up images.
Personal context for the song for me was also the sixties — in LA cruising around on a 650 Triumph motorcycle. They weren't the good old days Clara, they were the AWESOME old days!

Context for that song for me is Greenwich Village, ca. 1962-1967. Driving the '62 VW Beetle from central CT.
