In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!

American Slavery Began in 1565, Not 1619: Note to The New York Times, Historians and Even Noam Chomsky
Both The New York Times and historians (even Noam Chomsky) persist in misstating history. The first slaves were imported in 1565, to St. Augustine, Florida. Not Jamestown, Virginia in 1619. Get it right, please, in honor of the 450th anniversary of that event, and the founding of St. Augustine, on September 8, 2015. Thank you.
