In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!

St. Augustine WRECK-IT?
So the St. Augustine Record has a story in tomorrow's paper about the Historic Architectural Review Board saving a 1905 house that was part of the Dow Museum of Historic Architecture. It is written by the reporter who repots on "development," and is so one-sided it sounds like the reporter works for the developer. It quotes the junior member of the board, does not discuss the two senior members, and ignores the fact that only three of six members voted, because two recuse themselves because they're working for the developer (DAVID BARTON CORNEAL) and one quit because he was fined $3600 for destroying a 211-year old building without permits (ex-Mayor LEN WEEKS, Don Pedro Fornells House). Pitiful.
