In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!

Another bad project rejected by Wall Street investors, still dead after four years

Nearly four years ago, Wall Street responded to environmental and economic facts by rejecting the proposed Coquina Coast desalination plant at Palm Coast, a technological turkey that activists opposed. http://cleanupcityofstaugustine.blogspot.com/2011/08/coquina-coast-seawater-desalination.html Naturally, the St. Augustine Record offered only superficial coverage; as in Russia or Iraq, the Record seems to work for governments and businesses.
