In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!

A St. Augustine resident has filed to run for Florida House District 24, a seat currently held by Palm Coast resident Rep. Paul Renner. The seat will be up for election in 2016.
Renner defeated Morley in the April special election for the seat, but Morley “is carrying forward the grassroots momentum he built as a candidate in the special election last spring,” according to his release. “Instead of viewing his last run as a defeat, he and his supporters choose to see it as an investment.”
Morley, of St. Augustine, is an interpretive naturalist and a charter boat captain with St. Augustine Eco Tours. He lives with his family in a home powered by solar energy.
In 2008, Morley and his wife Janine started AnJ Recycling Service, which they sold this year. AnJ services businesses and residences in St. Augustine that are not eligible for city recycling.
“My passion is to strengthen District 24 and leave the state and the state of politics a little better off for the next generation,” he said in his release.
The district covers Flagler County and parts of St. Johns and Volusia counties.
Renner has also filed to run for the seat in 2016.
