Discuss SABCA's $500 Pro-tax PAC Contribution at 11/9 City of St. Augustine Beach Commission Meeting

What do you reckon?  Time for Mayor Andrea Samuels and William Jones to explain on what theory SABCA gave $500 to a political action committee (PAC).

Dear Commissioners and Mr. Royle:

1. No response from Mayor Samuels to my E-mail (below).

2. No response from Mr. Jones to my E-mail (below).  Wonder why?
3. As most of you are SABCA members and supporters, you might wish to ask for an audit and to ask questions about legal and accounting advice and voting on the $500.
4. SABCA's $500 contribution to a PAC looks like a possible SABCA breach of fiduciary duty to me.
5. Please place on agenda for 11/9:  the City of St. Augustine Beach subsidizes this increasingly political SABCA organization with no-bid $1 leases.
6. Enough flummery, dupery and nincompoopery, waste, fraud, abuse, misfeasance, malfeasance and nonfeasance in our local governments.
7. Thank you for your prompt investigation and discussion at the 11/9 meeting.
Cordially,

Dear Mayor Samuels and Mr. Jones:
1. By what vote of the SABCA membership was $500 spent to contribute to a PAC to support the vote on an 8% sales tax increase?
2. Please supply meeting minutes and agenda(s).

3. By what authority in the SABCA charter was such money spent?

4. Please supply the SABCA charter.

Thank you.
Cordially,
Ed Slavin
