St. Augustine artist and activist Jackie Rock is running for the Mosquito Control Board seat being vacated by Janice Marie Bequette, a Johnson & Johnson safety and compliance expert.
Ms. Rock is an elected Bernie Sanders delegate to the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
The Anastasia Mosquito Control District of St. Johns County is an independent, internationally respected science and technical organization now using mostly natural pesticides and arbovirus surveillance to suppress mosquito-borne diseases.
