ROBERT F. KENNEDY, R.I.P.

In 1968 on this date, 48 YEARS AGO, I was eleven years old, and my presidential candidate, Robert F. Kennedy, was murdered.
Only 6.5 years later, I went to work for RFK's only surviving brother, Senator Ted Kennedy, as a freshman intern, the day before my first class at Georgetown University.
Here's what RFK said on April 4, 1968 in Indianapolis after Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was murdered in Memphis -- Indianapolis was the only major city in America not to indulge in rioting that night:

If Robert Kennedy had survived and was elected President, our Nation would have been healed. In his spirit, the work goes on.
