In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!

2018: Who Should Be Florida's Next Democratic Governor/?
Enough corporativism. Our Florida nominees in the last three governor races typify the genre: corporate law firm managing partner (Wm. McBride); his wife (Alex Sink), the former Bank of America president for Florida; and a two-time loser who was a Republican before he was an Independent before he was a Democrat (Charles Crist). Our pitiful local Democratic leaders here in St. Johns County are utterly undemocratic -- they have not put forth a Democrat to run for a county-wide partisan race since 2006. Pitiful. It's time for the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party to assert ourselves: enough of Dixiecrats like the supercilious, tatterdemalion St. Johns County Democratic Party.
