Political bosses, bigots and bullies have a radio station -- WFOY "News Talk" in St. Augustine. Hardly anyone in the City listens to it.
Wonder why?
Cranky crabby hard-to-work-for hate radio station owner KRIS PHILLIPS fired her experienced newsman, Al Brennan, in 2009.
On September 2, 2010, Michelle O'Connell was shot to death in the home of her boyfriend, Sheriff's Deputy JEREMY BANKS. Despite international news media coverage, starting with The New York Times and PBS Frontline, mayoral candidate KRIS PHILLIPS News-Talk radio station has little to say about the case. Wonder why?
WFOY is irrelevant to local policy, that's why.
On June 13, 2016, Greater St. Augustine Democratic Club President MARTIN MILLER called PHILLIPS' WFOY, stating that the 49 Gay people killed in the Orlando Pulse club shooting "got what they deserved." MARTIN MILLER is a frequent caller to PHILLIPS' "hate radio" format, which features hours of RUSH LIMBAUGH and his ilk daily.
KRIS PHILLIPS is a bootlicker for the rich and corrupt, a wannabe who knows not that she knows not, except where her bread is buttered.
Hate radio proprietor KRIS PHILLIPS stiffs employees, vendors, the Florida Secretary of State and musicians (represented by Broadcast Music, Inc.). What a loser.
