Never do officials require developers to identify their owners.
Why?
This is utterly corrupt.
If we don't know who owns a project, other than some LLC, we don't know who might be using special influence or buying our officials.
We're subsidizing these corporations and don't know their owners.
We must have full disclosure of all beneficial owners and investors in any project seeking government zoning favors.
We must know who profits from clear cutting, wetland destruction and sprawl, while refusing to provide affordable housing.
Anything less is a stench in the nostrils of the Nation.
