Oasis Restaurant Withdraws Rezoning Request for Parking in Residential Neighborhood

The "World Famous Oasis" restaurant in St. Augustine Beach is withdrawing tonight its request for rezoning to allow it to inflict an illegal parking lot on its residential neighborhood.  So says Rachel Bennett, former County Commissioner, who represented the owner in its unsuccessful bid for the zoning favor.

Three cheers for the Oasis.

No cheers for Gary Larson, St. Augustine Beach Building and Planning Director, who granted an illegal tree-killing permit for an illegal parking lot!
