"Political Tourist" BILL McCLURE (BM) a/k/a "BILLY THE BAMBOOZLER" owns supposed "agricultural" land at 1320 CR204, appraised for taxes at only $28,000 for land his "nonprofit" corporation acquired for $250,000 in 2013, when BM owed years of child support.
BM says that he plans to grow bamboo. Oh?
Why this matters: Looks like yet another dodgy BM business.
I reckon local, state and federal government investigators will soon start asking:
- Why did BM sell land for only $10 from his U.S. BAMBOO COALITION nonprofit corporation to himself? Was that legal?
- Was it a "fraudulent conveyance" to beat creditors and taxing authorities? BM transferred the land to himself from his Medi+M.D. at a price of $10 on March 15, thereby possibly cheating taxmen and business partners.
- Agricultural tax fraud?
- Is there any evidence of agricultural activity allowing the much lower agricultural tax rate?
- Does BM pay property tax at higher rate for the portion of land that may be used for offices, motorcycle racing, motorbike repair and disassembly/sales? Definitely nonagricultural purposes.
- Does BM owe money to business partners? Why did BM NEVER record a deed for them at the Courthouse in the Clerk of Courts' office?
- What possesses BM's "U.S. Bamboo Coualition," a putative "nonprofit," to use as its mailing address the headquarters of the U.S. Department of Agriculture at 1400 Independence, S.W. in Washington, D.C.
This is not the first time BM used a government office as the dummy address for a "nonprofit." He's done the same with his and ROBERT SAMUELS "Friends of A!A Scenic Byway," using the address of the St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Dept. on Mizell Road.
It's our money.
BM wants to be elected Mayor of St. Augustine and does not even live here.
BM has a history of dodgy business deals and misleading advertising.
Here are the Property Assessor records on BM's "ag" land.:
Always something foul in the air when Billy the Bamboozler McSewer comes a knocking. Suprised he didn't start a septic business to cover up the odor.
ReplyDeleteThere he is! Billy the Bamboozler! Bamboo farm "for environmental protection" to conceal land speculation with low taxes. Twas a scheme and nothing more. Where is all the bamboo now? Need Ed Slavin live coverage and report of this bamboo farm today. What does this property look like now? Maybe some fraud charges in order..
