The St. Johns County Supervisor of Elections, Ms. Vick Oakes, reports that there are some 40,000 new registered voters in 2019 compared to 2012.
- Those new voters and longtime residents face the results of all-Republican maladministration: massive traffic tie-ups,
- little contact with nature,
- clearcutting of trees
- destroyed wildlife and
- massive flooding in more than 30 locations.
As H.L. Mencken said, some Americans have a "libido for the ugly."

Thanks to the Blue Wave Coalition, the Democratic Party is no longer a third party, after No Apart Affiliation (NPA).
Now, the number of NPAs and Democrats nearly equal the number of Republicans, traditionally regarded as people who may not really be Republicans, but who pragmatically register thattaway so as to have a voice for countywide offices.
Active Registered Voters
- as of5/7/19
- Democrats: 45,322
- Republicans: 100,007
- Others: 44,933
- Total: 190,262
