Who is JOHN MacIVER? NOT confirmed as Chief Administrative Law Judge, Still On the Job?

Right-wing young lawyer JOHN MacIVER has never tried a case in any court. He's a former lobbyist with the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action.  (The Russian-funded group deserves scrutiny, as do all of its alumni, including MacIVER.)

So Florida's Governor RONALD DION DeSANTIS named JOHN MacIVER, unqualified young Republican lawyer, as Chief Administrative Law Judge and Director of the Florida Department of Administrative Hearings (DOAH).  Never a judge.  Never tried a case.  He's a politician.  An arachnid apparatchik who is a puppet for the rebarbative Republican Governor's regime.

The Florida Senate did NOT confirm JOHN MacIVER's nomination.

But today, on Good Friday, April 10, 2020, JOHN MacIVER's still listed on the DOAH website.

Information for Judge John MacIver
		Prior to his appointment as Director and Chief Administrative Law Judge, John MacIver served as Deputy General Counsel in the Executive Office of Governor Ron DeSantis where he oversaw the legal offices of Florida’s executive branch health, welfare, and business regulatory agencies. John served in the same role throughout the second term of then-Governor now United States Senator Rick Scott. John also served as the Director of Florida’s Office of Fiscal Accountability and Regulatory Reform, a position housed within the Governor’s Office of General Counsel. Prior to joining EOG, John worked as the rules attorney for Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Prior to law school John worked as a legislative assistant to then State Senator and now Congressman Bill Posey. He is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Law and the University of Central Florida.
