Be involved. Expect democracy. Report and expose corruption. Smile! Help enact a St. Augustine National Park and Seashore. We shall overcome!

Sister Arlene Violet, "Attilla the Nun," Elected 1984, Prosecuted Rhode Island Organized Crime as First Elected Woman Attorney General in USA
Here's an inspiring 2018 BBC radio program about Sister Arlene Violet, the first elected woman State Attorney General in the United States. Sister Arlene Violet of the Sisters of Mercy took on organized crime, was elected as a Republican, targeting the Raymond Patriarca Mafia Family. (Circa 1972, at age 15, when I once visited the mother house of the Franciscan Sisters of Mary in Providence, I recall learning that Raymond Patriarca told the nuns upon moving into Fruit Hill Avenue, "Sister, if anyone ever bothers you, just call me."
