I am proud of the Anastasia Mosquito Control District Commission of St. Johns County.
In a unanimous June 11, 2020 vote, our local mosquito control commission in St. Johns County, united with other districts, has cut off sustaining member dues to the Florida Mosquito Control Association over longstanding, chronic and acute concerns about finances and ethics.
The current President of the Florida Mosquito Control Association lives in the middle of Alabama. This nonresident FMCA President is DONNIE POWERS, a marketer of malathion for FMC Corporation. POWERS has slashed educational efforts and co-signed a paranoid letter attacking dissenters as "enemies."
The mendacious FMC Corporation malathion marketer, who resides in Alabama, attacks dissenters, who include government employees and elected officials.
Dozens of FMCA members have requested a special meeting to oust the top three officers.
