I've been taking on cartelists since the 1970s, and I wear their scorn as a badge of honor. That includes Bechtel and the coal slurry pipeline lobby, whom environmentalists, farmers, ranchers and UMWA defeated in a 1978 House of Representatives vote on eminent domain.
Speaking of cartels, the Florida Mosquito Control Association, Inc., is now dominated by petrochemical interests -- its President is a malathion marketer for FMC Corporation.
Watching FMCA President DONNIE POWERS of FMC and seemingly captive FMCA respond to member concerns is liking watching a duck make love to a football.
