West Point ALUMNI BOYCOTT?: Cheating Scandal, Coverup, Denounced by St. Augustine's Col. Mark A. Tolzmann, U.S. Army (Retired)

Eloquent letter to the West Point Alumni Association from St. Augustine's Col. Mark A. Tolzmann, U.S. Army (Retired), inter alia calling for embargo on West Point alumni giving to U.S. Military Academy:

Mr. Browne,

I am a proud member of the class of 1984.  I fully expect that soon I will be solicited for contributions to fund the class gift as part of our upcoming fortieth reunion.  Please put me on the "Do Not Contact" list unless and until the USMA administration take meaningful and decisive actions regarding the current cheating scandal.
The Superintendent and Chief of Staff`s recent flacid,  ineffectual, and public statements bring great discredit and dishonor on the Academy and the tens of thousands of serving Officers and alumni that continue to cherish and live by the Honor Code.  Their laissez-faire and "head in the sand" statements do nothing to heal this stain on the Academy's proud record and traditions, nor restore the Nation's faith in the Officers that will lead its sons and daughters.
I am also anxious to hear  the AOG's response to this scandal.  I suggest that nothing less that outrage and indignation towards the Cadets who cheated, and the Officers that are turning a blind eye is acceptable.
I hope other graduates will join me in refusing to provide a single cent to any organization that supports USMA until this scandal is adequately addressed.

Sincerely,
Mark A. Tolzmann, '84
