It happened in America, on March 16, 2021.
Driving under the inference that he was "handling" a homeless man at the VA Clinic, an angry, ungracious know-it-all St. Johns County Sheriffs Deputy violated the constitutional rights of one of my heroes -- photojournalist JJeffrey Marcus Gray, whose work exposing SJSO was in The New York Times in 2017. This is how American lawmen treat the homeless when they think no one is watching them.

Thanks to St. Johns County Commission Chairman Jeremiah Ray Blocker for requesting that Sheriff Robert Hardwick investigate the incident.
Perhaps a department stand-down and civil and constitutional rights training should be a condition of continued accreditation.
As the Youtube video establishes, Mr. Gray was illegally arrested and detained for 90 minutes for First Amendment Protected Activity, to wit, saying "God Bless the Homeless" at our VA Clinic.
The deputy in quo was indeed, in his own words, "a schmuck."
He falsely contended the VA is "private property."
Here's Mr. Gray being harassed by St. Johns County Sheriff[s Office's mean mendacious miscreant MATTHEW CLINE, then-UnderSheriff, and General Counsel to disgraceful then- Sheriff DAVID SHOAR (who legally changed his name from "HOAR" in 1994), from YouTube and The New York Times:

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. called St. Johns County, Florida "the most lawless place in America."
Here's how Senator Robert Kennedy told off an unenlightened free-speech violation Kern County, California Sheriff: I suggest you "read the Constitution of the United States."
