David Migut bio from City of Jacksonville website

 One of two finalist white male candidates being considered to be our next St. Johns County Attorney, after a maladroit recruiting process by the County that Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once called "the most lawless in America," here's the biography of David Migut from Jacksonville City website:

David Migut joined the Office of General Counsel in January 2020.  Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel, Mr. Migut served as the City Attorney for the City of Marathon, where he was legal counsel to the Mayor, City Council, City Manager, all city departments, and all city boards and commissions.  Prior to becoming the City Attorney in Marathon, Attorney Migut was a Senior Assistant County Attorney for St. Johns County, where he represented the county and its employees during all phases of litigation matters in state and federal court administrative hearings, and also provided legal advice regarding the county's Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code.  Attorney Migut began his legal career as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Fort Myers, where he served as legal counsel to the Police Department, prosecuted and defended lawsuits for and on behalf of the city, reviewed contracts, leases and licenses, and provided legal advice on purchasing and procurement matters.  Mr. Migut has also served as an adjunct professor at Florida State College at Jacksonville and Florida Southwestern State College.

Mr. Migut receive a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of Miami in 1998.  He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida in 2001 with a certificate in environmental and land use law.

Mr. Migut is a member of the Florida Bar, the Illinois Bar (inactive), is Board Certified in City, County & Local Government Law, and is admitted to the United States District Court, Middle, Northern and Southern Districts of Florida, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.  He also serves on the Executive Council of the City, County & Local Government Law Section of the Florida Bar.

    BA political science so he understands the graft he's part of and the extent of conservative Republican cronyism happening on a state and local level...the anti-democratic nature of North Florida.
