Open Government Investigations -- First Amendment Audit of Anastasia Mosquito Control District

First Amendment hero Jeffrey Marcus Gray made an Open Records request at a local government agency November 21, 2021 and was treated with dignity, respect and consideration.  

Kudos to Dr. Whitney Qualls, Ph.D., Science Manager of our Anastasia Mosquito Control District of St. Johns County.  

Good science, with accountability and professionalism.

Thank you, Dr. Qualls. 

We wish there were more open, accountable Florida agencies like AMCD.

Too many Florida government managers lack Dr. Qualls' respect for our records.

Too many act like they are Tinpot Napoleons, a small group of willful cognitive misers, control freaks who hate First Amendment values.

Footnote: Mr. Gray is perhaps most noted for his video of then-Sheriff DAVID SHOAR, who legally changed his name from "HOAR" in 1994, and since demoted UnderSheriff MATTHEW CLINE, graduate of a defunct for-profit law school in Jacksonville.
