Two former City Attorneys face investigations by The Florida Bar

Two former Northeast Florida City Attorneys are facing ethics investigations by The Florida Bar:

DOUGLAS NELSON BURNETT, former City of St. Augustine Beach City Attorney.
A longtime lawyer for developers.  BURNETT is under investigation as a result of an airport business's complaint, alleging that BURNETT represented at least one developer corporation with business before the St. Augustine Airport, a government agency represented by BURNETT and his St. JOHNS LAW GROUP. A 1998 graduate of Widener University School of Law in Delaware, and admitted to the Florida Bar that year (Florida Bar No. 146324), DOUGLAS BURNETT is a member of Florida Bar sections on Environmental Law and City, County and Local Government Law.  I objected to his service as City of St. Augustine Beach City Attorney on the grounds that he represents developers.  BURNETT abruptly quit his SAB City Attorney job after concerns about conflict of interest by St. Augustine Beach government watchdog Tom Reynolds.

CHRISTOPHER AMBROSIO, former Jacksonville Beach City Attorney,
AMBROSIO resigned after his arrest for child molestation in 2021.  AMBROSIO is under investigation as a result of his September 9, 2022 felony guilty plea to molesting a child, touching the vagina of a girl visiting him in his home, who is the offspring of his longtime family friends, whom he served as Best Man at their wedding.  A graduate of St. Thomas University School of Law and admitted to the Florida Bar in 2005 (Florida Bar No. 11024), CHRISTOPHER AMBROSIO is Florida Board-certified in City, County and Local Government Law.

I have requested the records from the President of The Florida Bar.
