In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. As of 8 AM, Saturday October 1, 2022: all but 110 of 40,540 FPL customers have their power back on in St Johns County, representing some 107,000 people. Similar progress is reportred by JEA, whose franchise area includes the northern portions of St. Johns County. We were lucky to escape the severe damage Hurricane Ian left elsewhere. n
