In secret, behind locked gates, our Nation's Oldest City dumped a landfill in a lake (Old City Reservoir), while emitting sewage in our rivers and salt marsh. Organized citizens exposed and defeated pollution, racism and cronyism. We elected a new Mayor. We're transforming our City -- advanced citizenship. Ask questions. Make disclosures. Demand answers. A local building contractor, 3rd District St. Johns County Commission candidate William Hugo Freeman, a Republican, filed to run on January 23, 2023 and then withdrew from the race on December 28, 2023. Mr. Freeman was endorsed last year by anti-overdevelopment community organizer and former Madison Avenue ad agency partner/copywriter Nicole Crosby and Commissioner Krista Keating-Joseph, both Republicans. His withdrawal letter was received December 28, 2023 by the Supervisor of Elections.
