Subject: Request No. 2017-460: Reappointment of Controversial District 23 Medical Examiner Dr. Predrag Bulic, M.D.
Dear Governor Scott:
1. Please send me all documents concerning the proposed reappointment of controversial District 23 Medical Examiner Dr. Predrag Bulic, M.D.
2. Please include any documents provided to the Governor's office by the Florida Medical Examiners' Commission (or others), including the facts of pending MEC disciplinary charges against Dr. Bulic and colleague Dr. Frederick Hobin, M.D., including criminal violations of the Dale Earnhardt Law (allowing the public to view Michelle O'Connell's bare naked autopsy photos) and omitting the fact that Ms. O'Connell's jaw was broken.
3. MEC "put the cart before the horse" by recommending our Florida Governor reappoint Dr. Bulic while the disciplinary actions were pending. Why?
4. There was no mention in MEC's June 20, 2017 letter to Governor Scott of the pending disciplinary charges. Why?
5. This process is contaminated and may violate basic principles of administrative law and medical ethics. It is also a possible violation of Article I, Section 24 of our Florida Constitution, our Sunshine law, adopted by vote of 3.8 million Florida voters (83%) in 1992.
6. MEC recommending Dr. Predrag Bulic's reappointment, before the disciplinary hearing, is a stench in the nostrils of our Nation.
7. Governor Scott, will you kindly reconsider the three-year reappointment of Dr. Bulic after the August 25, 2017 MEC disciplinary hearing? Will you read the hearing transcript and evidence? Will you then fire Dr. Bulic for good cause?
Thank you.
With kindest regards, I am,
