Flagler College Ineptitude

At 5 PM on Wednesday, February 17th, Flagler College Radio, WFCF-FM (88.5, "Radio with a Reason") just ran a promotional spot for a lecture at 7 PM on Thursday, February 11th-- six days ago. Update: WFCF-FM ran the same promo again at 2:04 PM on Friday, February 19th.

The spot mispronounced the word "Pulitzer," sawing off a syllable (erroneously saying "Pultzer") and got the first and last name of the subject matter, Toms River, wrong (erroneously saying "Tom Rivers"). At the actual lecture, there was no question and answer period from the audience, which Pulitzer Prize winning author Dan Fagin publicly said he regretted. So do we all. There was only time for pre-selected softball questions from one Flagler junior professor and three students). How gauche and louche.
