Precautionary boil water notice remains in effect

St. Augustine Record:

A precautionary boil water notice is still in effect for the area around South Dixie Highway at Anderson Street.

The notice was ordered following a water main break Wednesday afternoon, caused by stresses created by the rapid rise in temperature that day.

Area residents and business customers who experienced a temporary loss of water service or low water pressure are asked to boil water as a precaution until further notice.

All water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes should be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

Door hangers were distributed to affected properties.

Door hangers will be distributed when the boil water notice has been lifted or rescinded.

Isabel St., from Hopkins St. to S. Dixie,

Eastman St., from Madeore St. to Anderson St.,

Newcomb St., from Madeore St. to Anderson St.,

Anderson St., from Sidney St. to S. Ponce De Leon Blvd.,

Carey St., from S. Dixie to Rio Vista Dr.,

Spencer St., from S. Dixie to Rio Vista Dr.,

Rio Vista Dr., from Carey St. to Anderson St.,

River Road, From S. Dixie to S. Ponce De Leon Blvd.

Aviles Dr., from S. Dixie to S. Ponce De Leon Blvd.,

Marion St., from S. Dixie to S. Ponce De Leon Blvd., and

Ferry Place, from S. Dixie to Dead End
