Disgraced former St. Augustine Beach City Commissioner ERNESTO JUAN TORRES resigned January 31, 2022 after evidently attempting to "fix" his wife's January 23, 2022 DUI arrest, with at least 47 pestilential telephone calls to two St. Augustine Beach Police lawmen, plus calls to Sheriff Robert Hardwick.
Our Florida Ethics Commission is investigating him pursuant to a referral from St. Augustine Beach Police.
TORRES, a retired Florida National Guard Lt. Colonel, falsely states on his current LinkedIn page that he is still a St. Augustine Beach City Commissioner!

On February 15, 2022, less than a month after her arrest, disgraced ex-Commissioner ERNESTO JUAN TORRES sued his wife, NICOLE RUTH TORRES for divorce.
NICOLE TORRES's DUI case is still assigned to Governor DeSantis's 2021 appointee, County Court Judge LAUREN BLOCKER (graduate of a since disbanded, profit-making law school), whose Florida Coastal School of Law academic record was stellar, but whose entire trial experience was one (1) trial as second chair)!
County Judge LAUREN BLOCKER is wife of St. Johns County Commissioner JEREMIAH BLOCKER. Judge LAUREN BLOCKER continues to sit on the NICOLE TORRES DUI case, despite unacknowledged suggestions and requests for her self-disqualification or recusal.
