It's all the religious people ladies and gentlemen..and the GOP will use their bogus authoritarian causes even if there was only one of them left. However, many of the GOP not religious only pretending to grift those people to s husk politically to the detriment to the nation. If you think Trump is religious then I have a submarine with screen doors to sell your dumbass.
Especially the God freaks get into government and govern in an authoritarian manner. That's what such beliefs do to people psychologically. That and the misapplication of what it means to be a Republic or Democracy for that matter. Tell me what kind of system we have if people get elected and just do whatever they chose regardless of what people in society wish? Just look at how little this Congress has gotten done. Look at the market failures and the high housing costs and income remains the same accept for those with mountains of money. That's massive failure and Republicans don't want to admit it and people don't want to hold Republicans accountable although their whole way of thinking doing things has led us to this moment.
