Good news -- Update on Cape Care Plan www.capecare.info

At their annual Town Meetings, the Cape Cod (Mass.) towns of Provincetown, Yarmouth, Wellfleet, Truro, Eastham, Brewster, and Harwich have all supported the Cape Care Plan -- locally controlled single payer health insurance, which has the backing of doctors, patients, hospitals, employers and the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce. The proposal was narrowly defeated in Sandwich (110-134) and discussion was disallowed by the moderator in Dennis. Three more Town Meetings will be held and votes taken starting May 8 (Chatham, Bourne and Orleans).
