"Do you have a degree in journalism?"

"Do you have a degree in journalism?"
That was St. Augustine WRecKord Publisher DELINDA FOGEL's snippy and inept verbal response Augus8th to my questioning her wicked bad judgment in posting threatening, racist, sexist and homophobic posts on the WRecKord's website, including the July 24, 2013 death threat directed against our City officials over the Mumford & Sons concert.
The answer is No, Ms. Fogel. Why do you ask? I earned a J.D. from Memphis State University School of Law (now University of Memphis) and from Georgetown University a B.S.F.S. in Foreign Service. I was recommended by DA Jim Ramsey for a Pulitzer Prize for winning declassification of the largest mercury pollution event in world history in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. What have you done for others?

"Maybe you shouldn't read it, then."

So, dear readers, is this the worst Record Publisher since the days of segregation?

I give her a year, if she makes it that long. What two totally stupid things to say as rebuttal for her obvious inefficiency and ineptness in handling the death threats! Does SHE have a degree in J? No, she's a bean-counter.

Well, don't read it, then? How very, very MATURE of her. Just when you thought it was fine to wrap mullet with that rag, the new publisher goes and proves not only that she cannot take concerned criticism--and solutions--but that she doesn't care about circulation.

I've already Unsubscribed to The Record in print, and my daily visits online are more limited each day. The errors are abysmal.

The lack of comprehension as to what is appropriate for a community newspaper to CONDONE, SUCH AS DEATH THREATS OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT, leaves me happy I no longer PAY for this insanity.

They'll wait until someone get hurts, then the back-pedaling will begin, but it will be too late.

Isn't is better to CUT THE ANONYMITY from "Comments" and force the haters to appear in the light of day? YES, yes it is.

Venceramos!
