Is St. Augustine Record Reporter LUCIA VITI a lapdog for St. Johns County? -- Does she want a job there?

Such egotistical effrontery.   Read my riposte, here: https://cleanupcityofstaugustine.blogspot.com/2025/06/xxxxxx-dear-ms.html

Dear Ed: Hey there! I hope this note finds you well. As I was front and center with my camera on WED June 18, I did not notice you in the audience. Having photographed the audience from every angle, I don’t have any pictures of you! If you were there, I’m sorry you didn’t introduce yourself. I would have loved to have included you in our photographic gallery soon to be published.

As I read your questions to Ms. Andrews, I would like to offer MY time to share information ad I am well versed on the topic of Civil Rights Movement thanks to the assistance of David Nolan and Cora Tyson.

I can answer any questions or guide you to David Nolan our local historian. Or send you my articles.

Also, please note, blaming Ms. Andrews for the proposed demolition of the jail is incorrect. Please review the articles that I wrote – again in depth – that show the permit request came from Sheriff Hardwick after a very lengthy investigation into its reasoning. The investigation also included discussions with the members of the West Augustine Association – members that I have worked with on several projects as well.

So if you need any answers to any questions, I can send you a plethora of articles written by yours truly or simply discuss what I know.

She must have done some you didn't like to be called a dog by you. She might not be a dog but of course if she doesn't do something you want or does something you don't like then she is a dog. Is this degrading and misogynistic language fair?

That's rich (and I don't mean Komando) coming from misogynist Pete who is constantly carping about "Karens." He also claims that women he doesn't like haven't taken "college math" i.e. they're stupid. What a woman hater Pete is.

FYI, "Pete," media watchdog is a journalistic term that is a compliment, so not all comparisons to dogs are degrading. However, in Viti's case, she is the polar opposite of a media watchdog. She is a "lapdog." Actually, comparing Viti to lapdogs is an insult to toy poodles and malteses. Let's just say Viti is owned and controlled by developers - just like you!

Women who say stupid things and appear unable to figure out anything makes me a woman hater? How about some of you, who just happen to be women, stop saying irrational things that aren't true? Why pull the woman card?

Pete said...

Proof and evidence that I'm "controlled by developers" is zero. I've disagreed with some of the things written here and you've simply exaggerated and made things up. You can't be taken seriously. Make exaggerated claims without actual proof or evidence attached.

"Why do the heathen rage?" Who is "Pete" and why does he think we want to hear his Anonymice ukases? Identify yourself, for the record, counsellor. You presume to judge others but won't identify yourself. No one ever voted for "Pete."

"Why do the heathen rage?" (Psalm 2). Who is "Pete?" What are this Anonymice angry man's qualifications? Confession is good for the soul. Who is "Pete," the angry defender of the status quo, on no-bid contracts, political patronage hiring, deforestation, flummery, dupery and nincompoopery here in St. Johns County?

SJC is saturated with cameras now...so much so that the privacy and the Fourth Amendment has been erroded greatly. Thank you Ed Slavin for your advocacy of more cameras. That all helps the state.

Ed Slavin said...

I support police body-worn cameras and dashboard cameras. It is the standard of care.

Ed Slavin said...

Our rebarbative reprobate prior SJC Sheriff opposed dashboard cameras and ordered the few that we had to be removed. Wonder why? Please answer. Hello, ex-Sheriff DAVID BERNARD SHOAR, who legally changed his name from "HOAR" in 1994.

Anonymous said...

Yeah that's just another example of you supporting state power because you don't like one of its members... which isn't rational at all. Those cameras serve the state 90% of the time, and the remainder of the time it MIGHT catch someone on the law enforcement side doing something wrong. That's not a good deal for the average Joe.

Ed Slavin said...

Body-worn cameras and dashboard cameras protect everyone's rights, including citizens and LELOs.

Pete wrote "Why pull the woman card?"

Really? The pills and booze you so often speak of must be taking their toll. Let's scroll up and see who played the woman card. Oh looky there, it was none other than Pete when he wrote " Is this degrading and misogynistic language fair?"

He played the woman card, and then claimed I played the woman card for calling him out on playing the woman card!

All I can say is... Drugs are bad, Mkay?

It's a violation of people's privacy rights and serves to make the state's case strong in any instance including petty offenses , which isn't good because the incarceration facilities in the USA are third world hell holes. People need anything and everything they can get their hands on to protect themselves from the state until that changes.

I wonder what you're afraid of being caught doing on police body cams or dash cams. Probably related to the acquisition of pills that you so often speak of.
