WILLIAM L. PROCTOR, FLAGLER COLLEGE CHANCELLOR AND 20th DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE
In one of the most egotistical political mailings I have ever read, WILLIAM L. PROCTOR gives himself an "A" on his legislative record, attributing it to the FLORIDA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
PROCTOR actually claims to have done something for St. Augustine historic preservation -- he does not have a clue and identifies nothing that he has done.
In particular, as Tourism Committee chair, PROCTOR did nothing to advance the cause of the St. Augustine National Historical Park, National Seashore and Nastional Scenic Coastal Highway.
PROCTOR actually told a St. Paul's A.M.E. Church forum that we "have to" vote for him because of his "seniority" if we want anything "done."
PROCTOR has no charm. PROCTOR's no gentleman. PROCTOR's no scholar. His background is a coach and school superintendent. PROCTOR originally got his Flagler College President's job by brown-nosing the bastard heirs of oil monopolist HENRY FLAGLER, including LAWRENCE LEWIS. He's called "MASSA PROCTOR" by employees of 40-year old FLAGLER COLLEGE, which has no tenure and no faculty union. PROCTOR's named the Flagler College Library after himself (sweet gesture) -- sort of like what John Kenneth Galbraith said about executive pay being a sign of CEO's self-esteem.
PROCTOR has accomplished nothing in Tallahassee and is one of the laziest legislators ever to grease a chair there.
Color him colorless, an accomplished accomplice-acolyte of City Manager WILLIAM B. HARRISS. When you read the "BILL PROCTOR -- PROVEN LEADERSHIP brochure, know who paid for it --- over #72,000 in contributions from 198 entities. Ask PROCTOR what he did to get all that dirty corporate money. You'll be glad you did.
